This project showcases a realistic water simulation of a ship emerging from the ocean. The entire process was designed to practice and refine fluid dynamics techniques.
Pipeline Breakdown:
1️⃣ 3ds Max – Ship animation and small object movements using TyFlow
2️⃣ Houdini – Fluid simulation and rendering with Karma Renderer
3️⃣ After Effects – Final compositing and color correction
The goal of this test was to improve fluid interaction and create a natural-looking water displacement effect as the ship breaks through the surface.
onclusion & Next Steps
This experiment provided valuable insights into fluid behavior, interaction with objects, and the power of Houdini for water simulations. Future improvements may include:
✅ More detailed foam and splash effects
✅ AI-powered enhancements for additional realism
✅ Experimenting with different ship types and environments
